the 24-Hour Family Helpline, 216-229-8800

24-Hour Family Helpline (216-229-8800) is a free, anonymous telephone service answered by professional volunteers and Bellflower Center staff. The Helpline provides telephone counseling, information and referral to individuals who feel overwhelmed, depressed, out-of-control or in need of support. Families and individuals receive support, education, counseling or referrals for their particular issues and questions. The Helpline provides support, information and referrals to professionals and other community members who call with a wide array of questions.
Tot-Line (216-431-8200) is a non-crisis telephone counseling service that offers child development and parenting information for parents or caretakers of children from birth to age six. Tot-Line professional parent advisors provide information on a wide range of topics, including positive discipline, toilet mastery, sleep and eating concerns, separation anxiety and sibling rivalry.
Ohio Help Me Grow is an intensive home visiting program for families with children from birth to three years of age, to strengthen families and give children a nurturing start.

Teen Parent Services provide support and education groups for teenagers who are struggling to balance parenthood with the normal stresses of adolescent development. These groups offer peer support as well as parenting skills, self-esteem, planning for the future, continuing education and stress management. Adult Survivors Group helps adult survivors of child abuse to begin to understand the impact of the past and learn new ways to take control of their lives.

Individual Therapy by licensed therapists is offered to children through adults who have been affected by abuse or trauma, or for parents seeking more intense help to raise their families.

Children's Therapy Group is a 12-week program that provides counseling for children ages 7-11 who have experienced sexual abuse.

Groups for Teens who have been abused are also offered several times a year.

Children Who Witness Violence provides assistance to children who have seen domestic violence situations. The program offers voluntary home visits from social workers who work with the children and the parents to address issues arising from the violence.

Kinship Care program offers home-visiting assistance to caregivers and the children for whom they are caring. Many of these children have experienced trauma and need special care to deal with those issues. Social workers help the children with their concerns, while working with the caregivers to help them better understand how they can help the children. Community Education and Professional Training is offered to a wide range of groups in the community. Child abuse and neglect recognition and reporting training sessions are offered to schools, child care centers and for other professionals who are legally responsible for making abuse and neglect reports. Training is also done on child development, parent education and adult survivor issues.

Parent Education Programs offer education and support at sites throughout the community.

Personal Safety Skills Programs are offered for young children, their parents and teachers/caregivers. The program includes safety issues for young children and helps them learn how to say "no" and how to seek help if they have a problem.
